This new beginning also reminds me of the value of what I do as a life coach. The most recent changes in my life – moving forward, planning for the future, and moving into the talents and calling that God has given me - did not happen because I sat on the couch and did the same old thing. In order for my life to change, I had to take some action, including taking advantage of the services of a life coach.
My friend and partner, Denise, who is a great coach, asked me hard questions to help me see that I was not living the life I really wanted to live or the life I was meant to live. During our session I was reminded that much of living a full life lies in asking the right questions.
I have seen this borne out in the lives of my clients, too. It is in asking questions and then sitting with my clients as they work out the answers. Then they begin to take ownership of their lives and understand what it is they need to do and want to do to make changes in their lives. It is a process, and it is a holy honor to see the progress, the confidence, and the joy as they move forward in their lives.
In addition to the workshop happening on July 12, we have a retreat scheduled for September in beautiful Prescott, Arizona. It is the first of five retreats in which we will work to overcome fear, cultivate forgiveness in our lives, plan for the changes we would like to make in the world, remember to take care of ourselves, and celebrate who God has made us and will continue to make us. I’m also working on a journal to help you with journaling through some really powerful questions designed to help you really discover how “fearfully and wonderfully made” you are.
This partnership is the culmination of asking honest questions of ourselves and God, daring to dream, and stepping off the ledge to do something new. The process has been nothing short of breathtaking. I hope you will join us in this new community of dreamers and Visioneers!
